The PCI Committee is established for developing and updating ENN-PCI and conducting research on project costs.

2012 年10 月25 日号に「ＥＮＮ－ＰＣＩ」を重化学工業通信社：ＥＮＮ誌に発刊した。以後四半期べ－スとして継続している。本年10 月25 日号で3 年を迎える。

著者は、笹野賢次、今後は委員会を立ち上げ永続する組織を構築する。国内･外の著名なプラントコストインデックス（ＰＣＩ）は、50～70 年程度継続し評価を得ている。継続するためには、それなりの組織の構築が必要。

ＰＣＩは、国内･外の経済の構造的な変化の影響を受ける。中・長期的に固定的なＰＣＩは、実勢価格のＰＣＩと乖離する。数年毎にＵＰ－ＤＡＴＥが必然。

欧米のＰＣＩは、我が国より20 年程度歴史が長い。そして、数度ＵＰ－ＤＡＴＥされているが十分とは言えず、継続を重視しているため実勢価格のＰＣＩと大幅に乖離している。

 我が国の民間企業設備投資はＧＤＰベース68 兆円で多額。しかし、業界･個別企業は的確にＰＣＩ活用が出来ていない。各企業で的確に活用できるＰＣＩのパラダイムを構築する使命がある。

In 2012, "ENN-PCI" was published in the October 25, 2012 issue of ENN-Net (Engineering Network), an information magazine of The Heavy & Chemical Industries News Agency. We continue to post updated information on the base. In this October, it marks the third year.

The author of ENN-PCI is Mr. Kenji Sasano, who has set up a committee in the future to build a sustainable organization for updating PCI. The well-known domestic and overseas plant cost index (PCI) has been highly evaluated for about 50 to 70 years. In order to continue it, it is necessary to build a sure and fixed organization.

PCI is affected by structural changes in domestic and foreign economies. The medium- to long-term PCI will tend to deviate from the PCI based on actual price and cost. Thus, UP-DATE is inevitable for PCI structure every few years.

Western PCI has a history more than 20 years longer than that of Japan. And, although UP-DATE's are done several times, it cannot be said that it is sufficient. In addition, since majority of western PCI may emphasize their continuation, sometimes it may be significantly different from the PCI based on actual price and cost.

 Japan's private capital investment is about 68 trillion yen, that is  a huge amount on a GDP basis. However, industry /individual companies have not been able to properly utilize PCI. Under such situation, private companies shall have  a mission to build own PCI paradigm that can be used themselves appropriately.
