AACE's
Technical
Board has
released
two new
Recommended
Practices
(RPs).
138R-25:
Introduction
to Life
Cycle Cost
Analysis
This
RP
introduces
life cycle
cost
analysis as
a crucial
tool for
assessing
the total
cost of
ownership
of assets
over their
lifecycle.
It will
address the
concept,
purpose,
methodologies,
and
application
of life
cycle cost
analysis.
It will
also
address
life cycle
cost
estimating,
which is a
key step in
the overall
life cycle
cost
analysis
process.

by
providing:
-
A

Best

for
Developing
a Baseline
CPM
Schedule.
This
webinar
will
feature
speaker
Michael
Pink, CEO,
SmartPM
Technologies.
A
credible
baseline
CPM
schedule is
the project
team’s
time-based
plan for
executing
the work
and a
common
reference
for
measuring
and
communicating
performance.
This
webinar
walks
through a
practical,
construction-focused
approach to
developing
a baseline
schedule
that is
complete,
logically
consistent,
and usable
for project
control.
Attendees
will learn
how to
structure
activities
and coding,
develop
realistic
durations
and
sequencing
with the
project
team,
document
key
planning
assumptions,
and perform
focused
quality
checks
before
submission.
The session
also
explains
how a
stronger
baseline
supports
clearer
status
reporting,
better
forecasting,
and fewer
avoidable
disagreements
during
schedule
review and
acceptance.
Registration
is free,
but
required.
Attendees
will earn

most about

"I

AACE

is the

Women in

Feature Article
Amie Forte
McLaughlin
|

In
the latest
Women in
Project
Controls
(WPC)
feature
article,
Amie Forte
McLaughlin
was asked
what her
AACE
experience
has been
like:
"Attending
my first
AACE Annual
Conference
in 2024 was
transformative.
To be
surrounded
by
like-minded
professionals
who share
the same
passion
felt like
home. I
learned
that the
project
challenges
I face are
universal —
and hearing
solutions
from others
gave me
fresh
perspectives
to bring
back to my
teams.
Beyond
conferences,
AACE has
provided me
with a
library of
Recommended
Practices,
webinars,
and a
mentorship
program,
all of
which have
been
invaluable.
For
example,
when
tackling
cost
integration
in a
schedule, I
was able to
reach out
to AACE for
mentorship
guidance.
That kind
of support
is what
makes AACE
so
impactful.
Seeing how
AACE is the
gold
standard
for best
industry
practices
for project
controls,
it seems
someone
whose
career
relates to
project
controls
would be
remiss to
not get
involved
with AACE
in some
capacity."
