Earned Value Management - A simplified overview

This presentation provides a simplified overview of Earned Value Management (EVM), a powerful project control methodology that aligns with AACE International Recommended Practices (RPs) 81R-13 and 82R-13, which define the required skills and core principles of EVM within the Total Cost Management (TCM) Framework.

We will demystify EVM by focusing on the 3 foundational metrics: Planned Value (PV), Actual Cost (AC), and Earned Value (EV). By understanding how these three values interrelate, you will be able to calculate crucial performance indicators like Schedule Variance (SV) and Cost Variance (CV).
